How does the earth itself spins.

The earth itself spins on an axis. The earth's axis is vertical, meaning it runs up and down.( A rolling log, on the other hand, has a horizontal axis, meaning it runs sideways.)

Effects of rotation of the earth

The earth rotation affects the movement of water in the oceans. The tides are deflected due to the rotation. The speed of rotation also affects the movement of the wind. Due of rotation, winds and the right in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere. 21 Feb. 2019, the spinning of the earth causes day to turn to night, while the full rotation. The spinning and the revolution of the earth causes our daily weather and global climate by affecting wind direction, temperature, ocean currents and precipitation.
